Live Well. Laugh Often. Love Much.

Where is the Cat?

I love Dr. Seuss and all his books because they have never failed to make an impact. His books are never boring or difficult to read. The rhythmic poetic style of writing, strange illustrations and use of simple words make Dr. Seuss’ books so different from others.

Our all time favourite has got to be The Cat in the Hat. Sharleez can already read the entire book without any guidance. Mysha and Myreen are slowly picking up! They just love reading it over and over again.

So when I told them that we will be watching the play this coming Saturday, they went bonkers!

“WHAT? REALLY MUMMY? THE CAT IN THE HAT IS IN SINGAPORE?”

Yup really, all thanks to SRT’s The Little Company!

“If you have ever read a Dr. Seuss book, you will love this production of The Cat In The Hat. Every Dr. Seuss story is a lesson in grammar, syntax, scansion, phonics, morality, ethics, tolerance and the human spirit. Sally and her brother get a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat. With his endless tricks and whacky ideas, he certainly turned a dull rainy afternoon into one amazing adventure. Joined by the twin mischief-makers, Thing 1 and Thing 2, The Cat in the Hat promises to be a purr-fect day out for both children and adults alike!”

So it’s not really just a play. It’s going to be a pretty educational one! A must watch play, I think.

Want to go watch the play with your kids?
