Live Well. Laugh Often. Love Much.

Daffy Diah!

Have you heard?

Have you read?

INV7

You must listen to RIA 89.7 FM tomorrow morning because I have a radio interview with Adi Rahman from 8 am to 10 am.

WHEN WAS THE LAST RADIO INTERVIEW I SCREWED UP? OH YA, I SCREWED UP ALL OF THEM. LOL.

Apparently, I have been shortlisted as one of the 50 inspirational Malay women this time round.

WHY, THANK YOU!

Adi is trying to be funny by asking me to host his morning show with him for TWO HOURS tomorrow.

Well, I will do him a favour and sound funny, without even trying too hard. See, I will have a slurred speech for the next few days or so.

Yes lahhhhh, I cannot talk normal lahhhhhh.

So do not judge me when you hear me talking like Daffy Duck tomorrow morning on air.

(I keep biting on my tongue.)

I REPEAT, DO NOT JUDGE.

Let me explain why.

INV5

I had 4 pre-molars extracted two days ago.

Two upper.

Two lower.

ALL AT ONE GO WITHIN FORTY MINUTES.

(Do not be deceived by that sad face. It was not painful at all.)

WHAT TEETH DID I EXACTLY EXTRACT?

NO, NOT WISDOM TEETH.

(My hygienist did spot one wisdom tooth (to the horror!), but she said that it does not require extraction as of now.)

NO, NOT TOOTH DECAY.

(Which reminds me. I must do scaling and polishing every six months or so.)

NO, NOT WEARING BRACES.

(I do not quite fancy the idea of having a metal mouth 24/7, though it is a pretty cute sight too.)

So, why then did I have four teeth pulled out?

Definitely not because I had nothing better to do.

I HAVE JUST STARTED ON MY INVISALIGN JOURNEY JUST YESTERDAY!A DAY AFTER MY TEETH EXTRACTION.

Do you know what invisalign is?

Invisalign is like braces, but so much better!

WHY BETTER?

  1. Invisible/Clear Plastic
  2. Removable
  3. No difficulty eating
  4. No discomfort from wires

This is half of me (don’t ask why I took a half shot) with Invisalign aligners on!

INV7

Remember I had four teeth (pre-molars, to be exact) extracted?

CAN YOU EVEN SEE?

COOL HUH?!

WHY AM I WEARING INVISALIGN, YOU ASK?

Well, my teeth may look pretty okay to you in pictures. Look at this picture for instance. Looks pretty normal, right?

 INV1

But trust me, they are not normal. They are pretty abnormal when I open my mouth.

Seriously, I do wonder why it took me THIS LONG to decide on doing something about my teeth. I mean, if I had started on it years ago, I would have perfect teeth by now. Perfect teeth mean no crookedness whatsoever. And most importantly, perfect means it makes me confident and feel good about myself.

I do not want to HAHA HEHE without being conscious about how I look. Pretty worried that I might look like a monster besides sounding like one. I really have such a loud laughter, you know?

LIKE SUPER DUPER LOUD. I DO GET ANNOYED LISTENING TO MYSELF LAUGH SOMETIMES.

So far so good, though it is a pretty weird feeling to have plastic in my mouth almost 24/7. Oral hygiene however, is way better ever since I started on invisalign. Before eating, must remove the aligners. After every meal, must brush teeth and floss before putting on the aligners.

A bit lazy to snack on junk or unnecessary stuff because I will really think twice or thrice before removing the aligners to eat. This might actually contribute to weight loss, don’t you think? We shall see….

And to those who have been asking, no, the teeth extraction was not at all painful, as promised by the people from Orchard Scotts Dental. When they were preparing to numb my mouth area, all I did was to close my eyes so that I would not faint at the sight of the needles and all. The entire process was basically like tug and pull. LOL. I was given painkillers just in case if I felt pain after the extraction. But I am proud to say that I did not even take the painkillers because well, there was no pain at all. So do you understand now why I could even happily go to the hair salon the day after my teeth extraction? Hehehe.

I am going to blog more about my invisalign journey. Nothing much to blog about for now because I have just started on it.

For now, thank you to my dentist Dr Jerry Ong and the wonderful team from Orchard Scotts Dental for making me a step closer towards having a beautiful and confident smile!

INV2

Will blog more about them too. Must let you know just how awesome all of them are! Every single one of them!
